Yoman Brunson for State Representative

We had a good time at the CD 5 convention on Saturday April 5th. The Republicans unanimously endorsed Barb Davis White to run against Keith Ellison for congress. Congratulations to Barb. We all know that she will represent the 5th district well. I met a lot of good people representing district 58B at the convention Robert Ngwu, Alan Shilepsky, and Bill Opsahl. I and was able to get a couple of pictures with our Governor, Tim Pawlenty, and U.S Senator Norm Coleman. Please look for those pictures as well for more to be posted on the site coming in the near future.

They say a journey of 10,000 miles begins with one step. I would have to say that I am on mile 9998 with the website. Wayne Johnson has been instrumental with the creation and technically support that I ask for. For those of you that have been holding out to make a donation on the web, you are now able to do so. Wayne was able to use his web savvy and add a donation button on the contribution tab.

Each day I become more excited hearing from people all around the country telling me how proud and thrilled they are of me running for the 58B seat. These words of encouragement motivate me everyday to reach out to as many people as possible to let them know something very special is going to happen on November 7th!

Please be patient as I work to have the website finished within this upcoming week. We have experienced some issues of the site being down for a couple of days. I appreciate the enthusiasm that has come from each of you, and will give you something to be proud of.

This past Saturday, the 23rd, the Senate 58 Republicans held their BPOU convention to elected delegates to the state and nation convention. BPOU delegates also had the opportunity to select who they would like to endorse for the Minnesota House of Representatives. I am very honored the residents of 58B endorsed me as their candidate! I look forward meeting more of our residents in district 58B and discussing the issues that are most important to our community.

The official numbers are in. A record number of Republicans, from around the state showed up to caucus, and elect officials for their respective BPOU conventions. In ward 5 alone, eighty plus individuals turnout to caucus. This is more than double the amont of people that showed up two years ago!

I was able to meet a couple of new faces at the ward 7-6, 7-7 and 7-11 who moved from the Commonwealth of Virginia. In addition to a firefighter from Minneapolis and a new resident from Cedar Rapids Iowa. I look forward to meeting more residents of 58B and listening to your concerns.
