I want to first start off by thanking everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes, it is great to be able to see another year! I am looking forward to the challenges and rewards this year will offer. Yesterday, we were involved in the Urban League Family Day Parade. As always, I am very grateful to have gotten the chance to have met so many of our neighbors in and outside of 58B. I want to let each and everyone of you know that I am fighting for our district and together we are going to make substantial changes. I would like to thank the Urban League for inviting me to take part in the parade.
The big day is here! As of August 1st, lawn signs are allowed to go up in resident's yards. And we have a great lawn sign. Thanks to Christina for designing the sign, it truly stands out amongst all of the signs. I have a couple of lawn signs available, so if you would like to place a lawn sign in your yard, please contact me and I will make sure that the lawn sign finds a new home.
There are a number of events that are coming up in the near future that I am excited about. On the 30th of August, there will be a candidate forum sponsored by the Urban League. Four candidates, including myself will address questions from residents in the district. It will be the first opportunity for all candidates to explain how they will address the issues in the district. Also, I believe a debate may take place between one of the candidates and myself. I will keep everyone informed of the dates, so please check the events calendar. I am just about caught up with everything from being away, so please continue to bear with me as I catch up. If you are not able to get a hold of me, please continue to contact my campaign manager Michael. I look forward to seeing each of you at the upcoming events!
